"Believers who oppose same-sex unions have won in every state where they could place the issue on the ballot. But in Connecticut this year, the legislature would not let the people vote, and on their own, lawmakers legalized civil unions for gays.
CBN News heard some interesting ideas from a Christian leader who fought those unions.
Connecticut's Bishop Jay Ramirez may have lost the battle to keep gay civil unions out of his state this year. But as pastor of one of the state's largest churches, he has vital advice for both Christians and the homosexual population.
"God loves you. God loves everyone. But at the same time, God has standards of living. And He has laws and ways that He knew that would be best for us. Obviously the laws of nature and the laws of God say that a man and a man and a woman and a woman just are not God's best for humanity," Ramirez stated."- Paul Strand, Washington Sr. Correspondence, CBN.com
