"Love Won Out " (a Christian seminar presented by Focus On the Family which promotes the idea that people can overcome same-sex attraction) was presented in Seattle this year on the same weekend as the city's gay pride parade. Alan Chambers, President of Exodus International and a speaker at Love Won Out says his own life if proof that, "People can overcome homosexuality if they're motivated enough to do so. To say that there is no choice is not true. Everyone has a choice to do what they're feeling, what they want to do. And for me, I felt gay, I felt that I was gay, and I chose to overcome it, for me that was a choice. What I knew was it conflicted with what I believed in and what I felt and I sought an alternative."
