Court's gay marriage opinion puts lawmakers in hot seat

BOSTON (AP) - The Supreme Judicial Court, by eliminating civil unions as an option, appears to have left lawmakers with a stark choice: accept equal marriage rights for same-sex couples or back a constitutional ban on gay marriage.
